You can access the Loading Dock from the outside by 4th Avenue. Please use the small pedestrian door, or from the lobby by the door at the East end of the mid rise elevator bank. You will need an access card that is programmed to open the door or you can ask Security to assist you. There are 2 main bays in the Loading Dock. The Loading Dock can accommodate tractor-trailers or any vehicle up to 50 feet long and 19 feet high x 16 feet wide.
Please do not attempt to use any of the equipment on the loading dock yourself. Talk to the Loading Dock Assistant in the dock office.
Please remember that the Loading Dock is not a parking or storage area. Remove your vehicle and clear all items from the Loading Dock area as soon as possible.
The Loading Dock is manned Monday - Friday 7:15 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. Just arrange for delivery with the company of your choice and we will assist you.
If possible, book a week in advance if you need the Loading Dock after normal hours and we will provide access. We need a minimm of 24 hours notice. Never leave items or vehicles at the Loading Dock overnight. Remember: Do not park vehicles or leave vehicles running in the Loading Dock. There is a 20 minute maximum stay for all vehicles on the loading dock unless prior arrangements have been made. Load or unload and remove the vehicle or it will be towed. Please check in at the Security Office on the main floor of TransCanada Tower if the Loading Dock Assistant is not present or if you arrive after normal dock business hours.
All courier items are to be delivered via the loading dock. These items will be delivered to your floor via the freight elevator. Couriers are not permitted in the passenger elevators and any couriers arriving in the main lobby will be directed to the loading dock. Please inform your courier companies of this arrangement.
Special delivery arrangements may be made through Aramark Services. To have your courier packages delivered by this in-house service provider please call 403-920-2535. There will be a fee attached to this service.
Mail boxes for incoming mail from Canada Post are located in the hallway on the main floor just beyond the security office. Contact Tenant Services at 403-215-2371 or TCTservice@hrreit.ca regarding the reservation of boxes and replacement keys.
There are two service elevators for TransCanada Tower. We do not reserve these elevators during normal business hours. Service elevators run on a first come, first served basis from 7:15 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Monday - Friday. To allow fair access to all customers, service elevators are usually only available during normal business hours for moves, which can be completed in one run.
To ensure a smooth flow of traffic and reduce damage in the passenger elevators, please use a service elevator for anything you cannot easily carry, such as a large parcel or a box. Please instruct your suppliers, couriers and your staff not to bring a cart or dolly onto a passenger elevator.
Larger moves must be completed after-hours. You can help ensure that your move proceeds smoothly by giving us as much notice as possible. We suggest that you call at least two weeks in advance for larger moves. A minimum of 24 hour notice is required.
To book a service elevator you should include the request on your Work Permit Application.
Freight elevator specifications are: Max Weight: 4490lbs, Height: 12 feet, Length: 8.5 feet, Width: 5 feet 3 inches. Door measurements: Height: 83.5, Width: 53.5
