Access Cards

Access cards will usually be issued at the Security Office, main floor TransCanada Tower, located next to the east exit doors between 7am and 4pm. Anyone who requires a permanent tenant access card must have a letter of authorization from his or her company.

If there is a special circumstance in which this would not accommodate your needs, arrangements may be made with the Security Manager at 403-920-7899 or the Security Office.

There may be a fee for the replacement of lost or damaged cards. Please remember to collect access cards from staff members who are leaving your employment. Return these cards to the H&R REIT MSLP Office or the Security Office.

If your card is lost or stolen help us to prevent unauthorized access by calling our Security as soon as you realize your card is missing.

After Hours Access

To access the Office Tower from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday - Friday, or anytime during weekends and statutory holidays, you require an access card, which has been appropriately coded. Anyone who requires after hours access on their card must have authorization from his or her company.

If you have difficulty getting into the tower, use the intercom provided at the access card reader at the ground floor entrance off 1st Street. Our Security staff will be glad to help you.

The tower has two emergency stairwells with direct exits to the street. For the safety and security of tenants these external doors are alarmed so should only be used in an emergency situation. The alarm is connected to the security office as well as sounding at the door. The alarm will not stop automatically when activated and must be reset by security. Out of business hours the stairwells also have motion sensors that are monitored by security.

Should you use the stairwells out of business hours please ensure your coworkers knows where you are in case you have an accident or are taken ill. If at all possible only use the stairs to conduct company business.

By using the same high quality keying system throughout the building we maintain top security. More importantly, we ensure the Fire Department and our staff can get into your office during an emergency. For your own protection never use an outside locksmith on any doors without prior approval from the Security Manager.

If you need a lock installed, keys cut or a lock changed contact Tenant Services at 403-215-2371 or and they will make arrangements for locks to be provided or keys cut, etc.

Security System

Security Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Every Security Officer can be dispatched immediately by portable radio and has had training in First Aid, AED, CPR and Emergency Response Procedures. The Security Office is on the main floor, next to the east exit doors.

Help us maintain security by keeping valuables locked in your desk, questioning unfamiliar people on your floor, reporting any suspicious-looking packages and asking contractors for identification:
